You can delete your ClipStrix data at any time — either the data tied to a single connected social account, or your entire account. This page explains how, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
1. Disconnect a social account (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
Removing a connected account deletes everything we hold for that account:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Connected accounts
- Find the account you want to remove and click Disconnect
- Confirm — the access token, profile data and stored analytics for that account are deleted immediately
Videos already published to that platform are not affected — they live on the platform, not on our servers, and you control them from the platform itself.
2. Delete your entire ClipStrix account
- Go to Dashboard → Settings
- Scroll to Delete account and click it
- Confirm the deletion
This cancels your subscription, disconnects every social account, and permanently removes your personal data within 90 days. Billing and transaction records are kept for 7 years as required by financial regulations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Instagram and Meta data deletion requests
ClipStrix uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login. If you prefer to start the request from Instagram instead of from ClipStrix:
- Open Instagram → Settings and activity → Website permissions → Apps and websites
- Select ClipStrix and choose Remove
- Instagram then sends us an automated deletion request
When we receive that request we immediately delete the Instagram data we hold for you — the access token, your Instagram user ID, username, display name, profile picture and all stored insights and follower snapshots — and return a confirmation code. You can check the status of any request by opening clipstrix.com/data-deletion?code=YOUR_CODE.
Removing the app from Instagram also revokes our access, so no further publishing or analytics reads can happen.
4. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account, email privacy@clipstrix.com from the address associated with your ClipStrix account and tell us what you want deleted. We verify ownership and respond within 30 days.
5. What we delete
- Account profile: name, email, avatar and authentication records
- Connected accounts: OAuth access and refresh tokens, platform user IDs, usernames and profile pictures
- Analytics: stored insights, follower snapshots and per-post metrics we cached from the platforms
- Content: series configuration, scripts, generated videos and uploaded files
- Usage data: generation history, logs and preferences
Generated video files are deleted from our storage within 30 days of creation regardless of any deletion request.
